FOAMs are powerful
protectors of delicate electrical
& electronic equipment, ferrous
& non-ferrous parts and heavy machines or parts from corrosion and physical VCI
FOAM PACKAGING can also be
used as a liner for storage bins to provide corrosion protection to the parts in
transit, eliminating the messy and repetitive oiling & degreasing process.
An
added advantage of VCI Foam is that it protects metals through direct contact
and by vapor action on a long-term basis.
VCI foams are designed to address all types of corrosion protection
applications. These VCI Foams are flat a PU Foam containing a high load of
hi-tech (VCI) Volatile Corrosion Inhibiting chemicals.
VCI chemicals condition the enclosed air and deposit on all metal
surfaces.
The VCI forms a protective monomolecular layer that protects hard to
reach areas without any requirement for the metal to come into direct contact
with the VCI foam.
The mono-molecular layer provides corrosion protection to the metal
that is inert to the action of corroding agents like humidity, moisture,
salt, hydrogen sulphide gas and other contaminants without affecting the
adhesion or electrical properties of the metal.
